Introduction to the Family
Our first child is Aaron. He is the oldest at 10 years, and he has already had a pretty eventful life. Aaron was diagnosed with a brain stem tumor in 2010 just a couple of days before his sixth birthday, but he has had many treatments and is in the recovery stages of his illness. He is a very special little man, he is sweet and caring, but a jokester through and through. I would venture to say he is the calmest of the bunch. He loves cooking, Pokemon, and playing games on his iPad.
Benjamin was the second born of the litter, and he has brought craziness into our lives since the beginning ;). During pregnancy I had to run my wife to the hospital multiple times, because this kid would not sit still and used his Mom's uterus as a punching bag. She spent three months on bed rest, before they had to do a C-section. He had to spend a little time in the NICU, but he didn't let that slow him down. He came out loud and wiggling. In his 7 years the only thing that has changed is, he is louder and wiggles faster. Benjamin loves Minecraft, bugs, and Legos.
Cameron, our third born, would have been a normal birth, but he came out the wrong sex. See a few months before his birth the doctor quite confidently informed us that we were having a girl. Being super excited we ordered every girl thing you can imagine and had it shipped to Sitka, Alaska. The first words from the doctor after Cameron came out was "Dammit, that's the second time this week!". So sadly we decided the name Jenna was ill fit for a boy and named him Cameron. Cameron did have to ride home in a pink car seat, which we quickly remedied, and I think he has held it against us all this time. He is my most strong willed child, ok hardheaded, but he is a very loving child. Cammy loves Legos, Rugby, and playing with Playdoh.
Madeleine was our fourth child. When the doctor said we were having a girl, we were of course suspect. This time we bought neutral. It turns out the Doc was right, and she came into our world. What is she like? Well my wife says it best when she says Mads came into the world sprinkling glitter and demands. She is all GIRL! you would think she might have been a little tom boyish with all these brothers, but no she seems to rebel against anything boy related. Her favorite colors are Pink and Purple. She loves playing with dolls, dressing up, going shopping, and playing with Playdoh. Her favorite show Dino Squad (go figure).
Last we have Dylan, whose nickname became Dill, then dill pickles, and evolved to Pickles. Poor kid, his family is going to call him Pickles for the rest of his life. Well except Mads, she calls him Pic-Pic. He knows what he wants, and he wants it now. He loves Thomas the train, opening drawers, and boobies.
These kids are hilarious, and I hope you follow along with our family, so you can see what a toptsy-turby life a family has when Dad is left in charge.
